Hip-Hop Flavas is an independently sponsored and produced “edutainment” radio program currently available via downloadable or streaming podcast. Recorded in Akron, Ohio. Hip-Hop Flavas was designed to fuse “true-school” rap music (past and present) with relevant social commentary.

The goals and objectives of “Hip-Hop Flavas”:

1. To showcase rap music (past and present) that is inspired by Hip-Hop culture’s “Golden Age.”
2. To help counteract the practice of “pay-for-play” that now saturates the current radio industry, which in-turn takes away from the variety of artists heard on urban radio stations.
3. To use the radio show as a platform to share our message of “Hip-Hop and Media Education.”
4. To act as a media resource that spotlights community leaders and their work.
5. To act as a respected news resource for local, national and international current events.
6. To assist with counteracting the devastating effects that popular music and mainstream media in general is having on today’s youth.
